Mapping Network Drive to a specific username and password

Hi i would like to know if its possible to create a logon script to map a network drive but only map it with a specified username and password. We are trying to map a network drive that will be hidden but allows access so that sims can be used around the school building. So for example the drive can't be seen or accessed by the user but be accessed so that sims will work

I was going to say that you need to make an OU for all the users you want to use SIMs then map the drive via logon scripts on that OU... But just read your message again... I don't know of a way of hiding it from the user but still allowing the user to use it.

We map S: to SIMS drive on the admin server, if the user is a member of teachers group.

 

I've then modified the .adm file (as shown in this kb article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/231289 ) so that staff cannot easily get into S: drive, however they can use the files therein.

 

Much in the same way that we hide C: from pupils.
