Length of time before the authentication expires

 

People are saying here if you log off before the authentication expires and someone else logs on, it doesn't request new credentials. That potentially makes all the logs unreliable.

 

we also discovered if you try and launch an https site before authentication. Lightspeed login box doesn't load and people think the internet is off/broken.

Probably this is a side effect of secure connections. I've changed our homepages to the school website to force non-https authentication.

Are you using the client or the web login ? I Only found the behaviour you described using the web login through NAT to a non CLEO range ie 192.x.

web login. we're on a cleo range now, switched in the summer. Where do I get the client from?

I think it's off the official site but I will PM you a link with the client and an MST I made with the settings to point at the county server.
