Hi - have a query from another place that's friendly to my establishment asking for a had.

A class of students have been given their own google accounts to use chrome and gmail with. No GADS/GAM here just independent. Problem is they're signing in as their PERSONAL chrome accounts sometimes, and with that all their bookmarks and addons etc.

This isn't what they want them to do - they'd rather restrict signing in to just the accounts the school have set up.

Is there any convenient GP based way to achieve this? Or any other way even?

Thanks hugely for any help. :)

I've not found it yet... The best I've managed is to disable sync in the administrative templates, so the bookmarks and add-ons don't come down.

You can do this in Smoothwall, under User Defined policy objects, create a new one, label it to whatever you want. Click Advanced and under Headers to override, put: X-GoogApps-Allowed-Domains: yourdomain. Then assign the policy to the group you want.
