Hi guys,

I have a HP CP4525 printer that is telling me I need to replace the toner collection unit, upon opening the printer and removing the unit, it quite clearly isn't full, I've emptied the unit and cleaned it using a toner cloth, popped the unit back in and closed the printer, however its still saying the unit is full, initially this caused the printer to stop printing, but as a work around to get the printer back in action, I've accessed the AT VERY LOW menu from the manage supplies menu and selected continue.

I'm thinking it could be that a sensor needs locating and cleaning, or that there is a way to reset a page count that affects when the printer tells you that the unit needs replacing, if anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate it :)

thanks in advance for any help

if you mean the plastic bottle that collects old toner

you can take it out

wash it out using nothing more than water (having first emptied the content into a sutible container ) dry it and refit it needs to let light shine through it to show it's empty

  • Thanks 1
