Did anyone else catch this on Saturday? Very well done I thought and only a 'bit' sweary in places, so NSFW.

Note that this is a new program and not his older series 'How Videogames Changed the World', which you can see on YouTube. If you are a non-UK EduGeeker it is well worth a watch, but be warned it too is NSFW.

Charlie Brooker: Videogames Changed the World - 4oD - Channel 4

I did note that they didn't swear during the Nintendo segment, but towards the end of the program when he was talking about gaming in the future he showed only 2 consoles. The PS4 and XBox One. No Wii U.

Anyway, It's on 4OD (see link) and is well worth a watch if you missed it.

good program surprised by the last "game" but i suppose he has a very good point. AS to the wii U isnt it a total flop selling less than the wii even now? As said could of done without the swearing wasnt really needed.

I thought it was good. Nothing new revealed but interesting nonetheless. Also recorded "Indie Game: The Movie" on after it but haven't watched it yet.

I don't see the problem :p

Bit annoyed about Indie Game as I'd brought it a couple of months back!

I hope it's like "Zero Punctuation"... Brooker seems like he'd be like Yahtzee.

No one's quiet like Yahtzee - very entertaining. Have you seen his Ryhmedown's with Jim Stirling?

Pffft, compared to Charlie Brooker, Yahtzee is a rank amateur. Charlie Brooker has been like that since his PC Zone days.

Not seen the last five minutes yet (4od crapped out on me and I couldn't be bothered fighting with it) but it was very entertaining, with some excellent people in it - Will Wright, Tim Schafer and Jon Romero are all big names, and it had some of my favourite games journalists in as well (Quinns and Rab Florence). I don't think it needed the countdown format, though.

Certainly a much better TV portrayal than Channel 4 news inviting Charlie Brooker in last minute to talk about a console he has literally never touched before. This is as painful to watch as you'd expect:

Cue much "you know nothing Jon Snow!" all over the internet.

I had to skip-watch that - too long and uncomfortably embarrasing. Seriously whoever a Ch4 thought that segment would be a good idea needs shooting. I felt very very sorry for Charlie Brooker watching that.

That said, I can see the PS4 Slim coming with a redisigned massive, glowing, flashing, can't miss it, neon pink, eject button and a CD tray.
