SMART Notebook and Flash 11.9.900.152

I released the latest security update to Flash Player on our network last week and since then everyone has lost the ability to run Flash objects in SMART Notebook.

 

Looking at the SMART site, it appears that this is a known issue but it was an earlier version of Flash Player that was the issue and 11.9.900.152 was supposed to resolve it.

 

So, how do I beat Flash into submission to work with Notebook?

 

The other solution of "roll back to 11.8" isn't so much a fix as admitting defeat...

We were reading on the SMART support website that they are in talks with adobe and in the next flash update this should be fixed. we've had exactly the same problem here.

the version of flash current last week seemed to work in notebook for me on a test system

was just talking to my colleague and he says it did actually work on a machine he tested too.

We had this problem as well.

 

Its basically a lesser of 2 evils decision: downgrade Flash Player so that Flash objects in SMART Notebook work but then some websites don't work because they want the latest version of Flash or upgrade Flash so websites work but then Flash objects in the SMART notebook don't work. Gonna get complaints with whatever solution is chosen.

 

Adobe and SMART both need to update their software in this situation.

We are using the latest Flash 11.9.9.152 and our Smart notebook content is working OK. I believe it was the previous version that was the problem, 11.9.9.148? Since upgrading to the new version everything is working again.

I've since managed to get this working on the vast majority of our machines, with 1 or 2 being a complete pain.

 

EDIT: After uninstalling and reinstalling Flash on the machine 6 times, it now works... That was annoying!
