HTTPS issues with Mavericks

We have noticed that any Mac that has updated to Mavericks does not work on external HTTPS websites through the proxy. The school only owns a couple but the students have their own and I have tested the issue with my own.

Ok, not a fix as such, but its now working...

 

Stuck this into terminal

 

sudo launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.UserNotificationCenter.plist

 

Then again to load

 

sudo launchctl load -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.UserNotificationCenter.plist

 

Rebooted machine and now it works

Have you checked that in network settings that the box has also been ticked for HTTPS through a proxy? Not got mavericks but had issues with earlier MAC. Cheers

Yes, with the username and password in place for both https and http

Balls, that did not fix the issue, it's happening again.

It works fine with Firefox or Chrome, it's an Safari issue.

It's a well-known issue too...

Plenty other links out there documenting it. No guaranteed fixes, bar switching browser until an official patch is released.

Ah - apparently, open Keychain Access, find the stored entry for your HTTPS proxy credentials in the LOGIN keychain, and copy and paste it into the SYSTEM keychain...?

Still waiting for a fix to be released for this - it affects the app store as well, so can't sign in on those machines either and stop the 50 'sign in the the app store' messages from appearing on logon.

Also getting this issue, but when wired and not over wifi it works every time????
