Good Morning All

Has any one experienced a problem with you tube through cleo proxy servers? We have devolved filtering in place here and have allowed youtube for staff in the last couple of day we have experienced as strange problem where none of the videos will play they keep coming up with this "an error occurred please try again later". When we change the proxy back to proxy.lancs we still get the problem . We can have two machine side by side on the same switch one will be fine the showing you tube videos the other will have the error them suddenly no problems at all . Is anyone else experiencing any problems ? I have checked all the solutions that youtube give but still no joy

I suppose I want to know so I can give one connect a call and know I am not the only one with the problem

We've had the same problem up in Cumbria last week, I tested a video in my office, walked down to the hall and the video wouldn't play. Other video's from Youtube would play however. Not tested this week though.

ditto. In conclusion ie 9 seems to be faulty. Also the following 3 domains need access. Googlevideo.com ytimg.com and youtube.com

Something not right here. We started getting reports from teachers last week that they were unable to run you tube vids that they had been able to previously. Error occurs in all browsers - not happening on all clients - we are currently perplexed!

"An error occured, please try again later". IE (8&9), firefox, chrome. We suspect it may be an issue with our proxy server farm that handles filtering - in that it is not all clients connected to the same proxy... Edited by rsydes

Google recently added googlevideo.com as a requirement to access youtube correctly. Check it's not blocked. Also youtube now appears to have issue with IE 9. IE10 and 11 works for us though.

I was just coming on here to find out if anyone else had this issue, and the gv link sorted it. Whoop! Ta :)

EDIT:

Just as a side note, I thought "I'll just see what googlevideo.com brings up" and it redirected me to video.google.com, by default, blocked on CLEO filters .. so I've added that in as well .. you never know how far down the rabbit hole Google will want to take you on this one! lol .. :)
