Harsh! I was only trying to broaden out the debate. I have been using Win 8 on my home/work desktop since it's release. I would like to take advantage of the improved engineering on the school network, but am frustrated by Micosoft's licensing and update processes.

We were waiting for better active directory functionality and control over desktop. Now discover that in order to access desktop control function we need ENTERPRISE version together with 2012 R2, thereby forcing us into an EES agreement that we do not want to enter into. Will probably stay with Windows 7 Pro - hopefully as long as we did with XP. Its functionality we are after, not fancy desktop graphics designed in haste and possibly in vain to gain lost ground by Microsoft in the mobile market.

Requested a replacement certificate from Comodo and that has worked! Why didn't the first one? Onwards and upwards...

I have a Comodo certificate to apply to our Remote Web Access server as part of Server 2012 Remote Desktop services. On Complete Certificate Request in Server Certificates window the certificate displays OK. HOWEVER when I either refresh the screen or go to the bindings the certificate disappears! Technet not much help. Anyone had this and resolved? Thanks. Richard Sydes

Well there is a thing. Have added googlevideo.com to the allow list and appears to have done the trick. Cheers for that ...

"An error occured, please try again later". IE (8&9), firefox, chrome. We suspect it may be an issue with our proxy server farm that handles filtering - in that it is not all clients connected to the same proxy...

Something not right here. We started getting reports from teachers last week that they were unable to run you tube vids that they had been able to previously. Error occurs in all browsers - not happening on all clients - we are currently perplexed!

I am sorry Gareth but the England Team will run onto that Twickenam grass like lions onto the savannah and the Welsh gazelles will be felled. All within the rules of the game ofcourse!
