I'm in it for about a It for about a second or so ;-) The winners will get 10,000 euros for the support group for Breast Cancer Support. We are almost neck & neck with Spain and could do with a boost. It's a strange system, you can vote every day and with as many emails as you have, just register the address once and votes as often as you can in the next 7 days.... Please.. BUST 1

Anything the Charities of Southmead and Frenchay do gets my vote. Their Prostate unit is working on a groundbreaking non invasive 'sniff' test that detects cancer cells in urine. I recently completed a stint in the chair of a Freemasonry Lodge and our fundraising efforts for the year when to the Shine Awards Home | General My only concern over the work of the various charities though is there are SO many of them working in the same fields. The two big British cancer charities merged about 15 years ago because of that, Macmillan Nurses logically absorbed Cancer Backup I think others should also come together and combine their efforts and minimise Admin overheads. In another area the two great pillars of support for serving and retired service personnel have been SSAFA and The Royal British Legion but in recent years other organisations have sprung up that must surely dilute their very worthy efforts.
