You should see one of our chemistry labs! Has a ladybird infestation on the ceiling. Went in there today to replace the pc as part of our rolling replacements and had ladybirds dropping on my head!

We have large numbers of ladybirds hibernating in our staff room every winter. You don't realise they are there until the spring. It's a Victorian building with sash windows which don't seal particularly well.

If I see one more person describe them as "Killer Spiders" I will personally do more damage than one of those spiders ever could.

They are NOT KILLER SPIDERS. Wasps are more dangerous, the bite of a false widow is no worse than a wasp sting but I concede, people can be allergic to either which could cause death. So can a peanut though....

Just had a text message from a very apologetic Chemistry teacher. She said that they were fumigating her room over the weekend and sealing all the entry points

hah! Reminds me of a visit to Hunstanton one year. Literally could not tell the colour of our car because of the huge infestation of ladybirds they had all over the entire town. It was nuts! Could barely see!

Had that in an old office, the ladybirds were crawling around the top of the window and falling into the webs of lurking spiders below. :)

I worked in an old hotel once and one of the bars was completely oak paneled. If you went in there about 4am and turned on the light the floor would part as all the cockroaches ran for cover...

We had a fibre link fail & when the cabling engineer stuck his head up through the false ceiling he came face to face with a very large rat! I have never seen anyone come down a step ladder so fast :)

Turned out the rat (or one of its friends) had munched the cable.
