RogerCorrigan Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Hi All, Have run SOLUS 3 with administrative rights, tried to install the agent on the SIMS server (The server is also a SIMS Workstation) and it says Install Failed "Access denied to the remote machine". Have checked multiple times that the username and pass were correct. What do i do?
Sylv3r Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Have you tried for argument sake to add the domain prior to the username: MYNETWORK\admin I know I do it every time I roll out the agents, but I can't remember whether it's just habit or it doesn't work without it. Is the firewall running on the server also?
sparkeh Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 I have to use domain\username else I get that error

RogerCorrigan Posted October 10, 2013 Author Posted October 10, 2013 Wait, wait. Does the SOLUS 3 server have an agent aswell?

Once online in SOLUS3, add it to a channel and when prompted for credentials, use a full local admin account on the target machine in the format of COMPUTERNAME\username. Wait, wait. Does the SOLUS 3 server have an agent aswell? Yes it does. It needs to be able to self upgrade so has an agent on it. Edited October 10, 2013 by Rawns

Rawns Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 SOLUS3 UI | System Settings. Click the 'Export Agent Installer' button. On the workstation, run the batch file that has been crated.
