Hi All,

Have run SOLUS 3 with administrative rights, tried to install the agent on the SIMS server (The server is also a SIMS Workstation) and it says Install Failed "Access denied to the remote machine". Have checked multiple times that the username and pass were correct. What do i do?

Have you tried for argument sake to add the domain prior to the username:

MYNETWORK\admin

I know I do it every time I roll out the agents, but I can't remember whether it's just habit or it doesn't work without it.

Is the firewall running on the server also?

Our SIMS server isn't connected to a domain. I used the Server's name instead and... it's not working. God, I'm gonna go home in a minute.

You have to install the agent manually on any devices not on a domain. Once online in SOLUS3, add it to a channel and when prompted for credentials, use a full local admin account on the target machine in the format of COMPUTERNAME\username.

Wait, wait. Does the SOLUS 3 server have an agent aswell?

Yes it does. It needs to be able to self upgrade so has an agent on it.

Is there an installer I can open manually somewhere?

SOLUS3 UI | System Settings. Click the 'Export Agent Installer' button. On the workstation, run the batch file that has been crated.
