ass17 Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Hi, We currently use sanako lab 300 but has become useless without the hardware controller type thing... Are there any free audio solutions for sending mp3s to client PC, as a whole class or one to one. What do you use?
rad Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 I will watch this thread with interest. We too have (or had) Saneko software installed on a suite of computers in the languages building. It is no longer there as we rebuilt all computers from XP to Win7.

Our MFL faculty have a 10 year old Lab 300 with Sanako version 9 running on Win XP which we support in house. The PCs now need replacing but to go to win7 or above needs some outlay on sanako software upgrade. The lab is only lightly used as an actual language lab, only a few teachers got to grips with it, except for the mass listening exams which it works well for. I too would like to look at alternative solutions before going down the upgrade path again. What are others using out there, are there any current recommended IP based systems ?

Andrew_C Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 We have Lab300 too. I believe it is still heavily used, but no longer see it day-to-day as I left a job directly supporting the Linguists to move to Science a few years back.

jcookhgs Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 We retired our Sanako after upgrading to Win 7 last summer as the upgrade price was substantial. Currently getting by with Audacity but obviously not the full functionality of a language suite. Shame the products such as Impero don't include this side of things too as that would mean one solution in stead of two.
