Windows Hyper V 2012

C:\users\public\Documents\hyper-v\replication\ on one of my systems, the other I just manually created e:\replication and pointed it to it under 'authorization and storage'. For completion I use kerberos

I believe the replication folder is only created when you enabled replication, which I am unable to do so.

 

As an update, I installed Windows Server 2012 (the full edition) and I can enable replica through the GUI and without the GUI.

 

It seems like Hyper V 2012 (the freebie) doesn't support replication at all. Not at all impressed! Replica was going to be a huge deal breaker for me without having to purchase an additional license.

I finally got this working in the end!!!!!!!

 

You won't believe what it was - there was a problem with the Windows 8 OS. Actually, installing any version of 8.0 would exhibit the problem I was having so by installing 8.1 allowed me to enable Replication. Yippee!
