Win 8 tablets and cameras

Hi Folks,

 

Got loads of these in work and people want to use the camera but cant use the built in windows 8 app across log-ins. It works with a local account but not a domain student or staff one for example

Does anyone use any 3rd party software to get round this? so people can take pics and record videos?

 

I can use vlc but its clunky and longwinded any other suggestions - I thought microsofts LifeCam might be a good place to start but it doesn't load up on the tablet. Any ideas?

I was quite impressed with Debut - Video Capture Software. Video, Webcam or Screen Recorder - you will need to look into the licensing to make sure it's free for your uses but the non-commercial version is free. Seems to work fine on W8 for me, where the app doesn't work.
