gavins38 Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 I'm noticing a lot lately that supposed registry cleaners/system cleaners/etc by a company called Systweaks keep appearing on school laptops. Does anyone know what software these are slipping in with or are they just downloaded through unsuspecting websites? If I can warn staff to steer clear of certain software downloads or websites it would mean a lot less time spent removing infected machines.
Dos_Box Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 I take it your laptops have a standard build put on there by yourselves?
Dos_Box Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Oh, and do you have any policies applied to the laptops and what internet filtering do you have?
gavins38 Posted September 25, 2013 Author Posted September 25, 2013 They are all standard build and don't include the systweaks software. That seems to appear once the teachers get their hands on them. No particular policies applied to the laptops. Staff have local admin rights for Sims. We currently use the standard RM SafetyNet web filter.
