am registers not showing in lesson monitor 6

Hi

 

I hope this is just a stupid mistake...

 

We have recently switched to using sims for registers. All the teachers can see their lessons plus the AM registration class and take the registers no problem.

 

However, when our attendance officer goes to check the missing registers in lesson monitor 6> Reports> Module Reports> Missing Registers

the report that comes up starts at period 1 and has no reference to the AM period for registration. I can't see that there is a way to change it to include the missing AM reg period?

 

Being just a mere IT type person I have no idea whether she is going in the right place for this or what. Everything seems setup fine and the teachers add their reg marks to a AM period in "take register".

 

Any ideas?

Phil I'm afraid that I don't know the answer to this question but I would recommend using SupportNet as a source of information on SIMS specifics. Usually an expert from the user community will respond very quickly if we don't get there first.

Do you have an actual AM registration or is period one treated as AM? if so have you mapped period one as the AM registration? This could be why it's not showing. I can't remember what ours does right now but can check in the morning to see if LM treats it differently from Take Register.

Did this problem ever get solved as I now have something very similar?

 

We have moved our tutor period back to the start of the day from after morning break this year. I built tutor time as a fake lesson last year to enable teachers to be allocated to it, rooms, kids etc as it was not designated am registration. This year I did not bother - just tagged it as a registration period in Nova T and made it am attendance. Now attendance team is screaming blue murder as missing am registers are not showing up in missing register notification box. Is there any way to make am registers appear in that box without having to set tutor time up in Nova-T with staff etc?

missing registers only flags lessons. Actual timetabled / roomed / staffed lessons.

 

So is there a room that kids go to, a teacher that turns up and registers them, but it doesn't actually appear on a timetable?
