I wonder if someone could help please,

I have 3 lenovo E530 Laptops, two of them are running W7x86 and the other W7x64 all of them have the latest driver on them

but we seem to have an issue that when we tell it to auto connect, it thinks about it then connects but bounces back to manual again ???

I cant seem to get my head round it, on the Dell Latitude laptops it seems to work fine is this a driver issue or a problem with Promethean and Lenovo ???

Hi, It’s a Promethean driver issue. The latest release of the driver has an issue with auto connecting to the board when connected via Serial or Bluetooth. As you found the board Will connect though serial / BT if done manually though the auto connect setting will revert back to manual at startup if changed. FYI, USB connections are not affected by this issue.

I would recommend rolling the driver version back to V5.7.

Just to jump in on this one but I to have an issue with Lenovo and Promethean, I have installed driver 5.7 as mentioned above and that has resolved the auto start issue but what seems to happen with us is that everything will be working fine then the pen will just stop working although the laptop is still responding, you cant disconnect and re-connect either you have to restart the laptop than all is well again for a while.

There are no obvious issues in device manager, all drivers seem to be ok, boards are connected via USB-Serial connectors with current drivers, 2 of the laptops are running Windows 7 pro x86 and x64 the other 2 are both running Windows 8 x64, its really bugging me now as every day I appear to be in each of these classrooms messing with promethean boards.
