How do you guys/gals monitor printing? I know I could purchase Papercut etc but at the moment all we want to do is monitor to see how much is being printed so would like to do this for gratis before purchasing a product. The products come with 30 day trials but I dont think this is long enough to monitor. Would ideally like to monitor over 1 term.

We have a mixture of local, network and MFD printers dotted around the school. Would something like PaperCut Print Logger - free print logging software for Windows do the trick?

What do other people use?

Has anyone used or heard of http://www.fitosoft.com/free ?

The free papercut logger would work for network printers & MFDs, assuming they're all shared from a print server. You'd also need an install per local machine with an attached printer.
