VeryPC Posted August 27, 2013 Author Posted August 27, 2013 Woo! I never win anything! Thanks @VeryPC! Should I wait for @Plextor to choose his number first? No go ahead and choose @skell - first to the thread picks first to keep things ticking along. So what number do you want? Al
VeryPC Posted August 27, 2013 Author Posted August 27, 2013 11 please. I'll have 12 please to complete the line! Hi guys, thanks for your numbers, and for what it's worth: "BINGO!" @plexer, you are now the proud owner of Star Trek Into Darkness on DVD (or you will be after it is released, we've pre-ordered it and you'll get it sometime after September 2nd). @skell, your prize is the ace Pac-Man alarm clock. It's got cute buttons: cherries for snooze, a bell for alarm off and a ghost for the back light ("Pinky" to be exact). @SirToby we're still waiting for your choice, so please pick a number from the four remaining below and we'll find out what you've won: Still a handful of nice daily prizes left (including the GTAV/£40 of computer games) so it's not too late to enter. UK IT techs and managers PM me your professional contact details and we'll add you to the draw. We've currently got 58 entrants (which is not too bad for the summer hols on EduGeek) plus 7 bonus tickets earned for the school naming suggestions, so a minimum of 1 in 65 chance of winning the star prize at this stage. Gotta be worth a crack at those odds, and you get free sweets thrown in just because we're a right nice bunch of folks at VeryPC. Cheers, Al

VeryPC Posted August 27, 2013 Author Posted August 27, 2013 Sweet! Thanks a lot @VeryPC! You're very welcome - may the chompy little yellow circular fella regulate your arisingments with great success - you'll have to tell us what the alarm sounds are like - hopefully samples from the arcade game.
VeryPC Posted August 27, 2013 Author Posted August 27, 2013 Ahaha brilliant! Sorry about the late reply guys, busy long weekend And i'll take a number 9 please. And we've got a set for the day. No need to apologise @SirToby, without the internet problems we had out in the field (literally the field) the video would have been up 4 days earlier, so you are positively speedy compared to that. Number 9 it is. You have won... [oh yeah, it's the tedious thump thump tick tock suspense bit; forgot to do it last time. Is this enough rambling to build the suspense? That should do] ...the brilliant Henry desktop mini vacuum cleaner! May your keyboard never be dusty again. Just 3 days left but still prizes to be won, including the star prize Nano Sketch PC. If you're a UK based IT Manager/Techy on EduGeek, just PM me your professional contact details and we'll add your name to the draws. Good luck for tomorrow everybody! Al

VeryPC Posted August 27, 2013 Author Posted August 27, 2013 (edited) I was checking out @SirToby's new mini Henry hoover and came across this nice little bit of blurb on the packaging that I thought I'd share with you all: "Henry is always there when you need a friend to help tidy up." - ahh that's nice "Fear not the rising tide of dust and crumbs" - puts me at my ease "a true icon of domestic life" - reassuring "Use my crevice tool for those hard to reach places." - eww Edited August 27, 2013 by VeryPC

It's so sweeeeeeettttttttttttttttttttt (gotta be a girl sometimes) thanks You're welcome, and we're delighted to see you're so pleased with it! ...and just to clarify for all reading, we send prizes out in re-used packaging to keep our waste generation down, but this sometimes means a leetle tiny small thing goes out in a not so leetle tiny small box depending on what packaging is available at the time. VeryPC Posted August 28, 2013 Author Posted August 28, 2013 Morning class. Only a couple of days left now. We may have sorted out the trouble with those pesky robots now. More importantly, another winner is about to be drawn. Watch on... Since today's winner gave me a number when he entered, I will reveal that @hardtailstar picked number 6, which is still available, and his prize is... [not doing this pausey bit today-doh!] ...the monster modelling clay! Amazingly, GTAV has still not been picked (it really is randomly assigned, I promise!) and the star prize VeryPC Nano Sketch PC is of course still to be won on Friday. Any UK IT managers or techs can still enter until midnight tomorrow night (Thursday 29th August 2013). Currently there are about 70 entrants, so you are still in with a really good chance of winning that star prize. Al. 1
X-13 Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 I am praying for GTAV and my name to be called!!! It won't happen. The old gods have my back.
