group policy not being seen at all

just at a school now where not one of the computers are collecting any group policies, its getting on my nerves now. i've checked dns and all the gp's i've created. when i do a gpresult on a client i comes up with no rsop data available for this user!

sorted it! problem with dhcp not dishing out the correct dns server address.

But I thought you said you checked DNS? :?

i'd checked to see that dns was running correctly on the server that was pushing out group policy! the school had another it firm go in and install a new server last week and they hadn't taken down the old nt4 box which was still running dhcp! they thought they were getting dhcp addresses from county for one reason or another. so it was a lapse in my concentration not to check that first but geoff's words of wisdom made me click and ran a second set of checks!

 

well any way its sorted now!
