I'm trying to create a shortcut to upload en masse to users my work folder that gives them access to their my documents on CC3, it looks like it's not possible to create such a shortcut \\server\%username%$ it looks like they would need to create their own shortcut \\server\username$

Does anyone know if this can be done or have any alternative methods?

Did they migrate the user accounts over or were they setup from new?

If the user accounts follow the same naming structure wouldn't it be more straight forward and easier for yourself and the users to robocopy the data over?

How many users are you talking about?

How much data are you talking? It shouldn't take too long to migrate everything over and in the long run, this would be far more ideal, surely?

We did this last year and copyed all user data over over 1000 users and then ran health check. No problems we then just stored cc3 user backups unitl recently. No shortcuts and no chance of pupils/staff filling up with to much rubbish.

If the accounts have maintained the same account name structure then you could robocopy these pretty quickly I would have thought.

Copying the data would be much better than creating a shortcut etc.

Never used robocopy, do you have any scripts I could work with?
