North-ICT yes but here are the terms Battery warranty cover After a period of time that will vary depending on use and settings, you may find that the length of time that your battery will power your device for will reduce, requiring you to charge more frequently. Rechargeable batteries have a limited number of charge cycles and may eventually need to be replaced and are classed as consumable parts. 1.1. Consumable parts are parts that require periodic replacement during the normal course of the System’s usage, including without limitations, batteries, AC adapters or appearance parts. 1.2. The warranty of batteries is limited to thirty six (36) months and covers a failing defective battery, and does not cover reducing capacity of a fully charged battery. 1.3. Your warranty includes replacement coverage for a defective battery. So the battery warranty wouldn't cover the most common issue with batteries... 1

We'll be writing to all notebook customers once this is in place.

(3hrs) Kids will get the keys off most keyboards if they really want too. If you have an issue...surely you should take it up with your account manager? Always been quick to clear up anything we have needed.
alemanyorks Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 We just bought 60 N310's & so far (about 3 months in student use) they seem OK, no failures yet. Things I like: Light weight/size, screen, touchpad & buttons, Stone support (based on previous use) Things I don't like: No ability to disable the WiFi toggle function key , Lid flexes a bit too much for my liking, side entry power connector making them a bit to wide to have front facing in our Lap Cabby trolleys.

The lastest ones have good cable management now compared to the older ones but the Stone NT310 are still too wide to comfortably fit front on. This has the drawback of not being able to see the charging lights so it's plug & hope.

alemanyorks Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Just an update regarding the flexing lids on these, as I suspected we have had 4 screens crack & have to be replaced.......probably the rough handling from the students but we have never had any screens go before on other brands from misuse. Plus point, keyboards seem to be quite resistant to students pulling keys off, only had one of those so far

newpersn Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 After 3+ years of these laptops. New set of battery's and there still going strong. There carted around the school day in and day out. Just downside is the time it takes to charge the laptop.
Asgard Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 We have just over 60 of the NT307 and about 180 of the NT310 both around the same spec; Core i3/i5, 4gb RAM , SSD, . We had stone take out the webcam and optical drive to further push the battery life up. In nearly all of the cases were able to get a full college day on a single charge. We also use them for our Exams students who are allowed to use laptops. And for our bursary students who are assigned a laptop for home use - they take the drop test well ;-)
Zombieslayer84 Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 I work in a residential children's home with young people who have behavioural difficulties (laptops get the brunt of their temper quite regularly) we bought the Stone NT307 model and it has so far survived well, it's very well built, is robust, not too expensive & has fast speed. It comes with windows 8 I think but we upgraded to Windows 10 Pro and can't fault it TBH.
