Group Policy not inputting internet policy settings Inc. Proxy settings.

Good Morning

 

I really need help i have been trying all sorts of solutions but to no avail we have certain settings for the internet that we must have inputted into internet explorer like proxy settings and pop up blocker etc but gropu policy will not do this it stopped working two weeks ago.

 

It is saying the internet branding has failed.

 

Any help you can give will be much appreciated.

What version of IE are you using?

If you have upgraded to IE10 that will be the problem. Unistall IE10 on one of the affected machines and see if it resolves the issue.

Yep IE10 and Server 2003 dont play well. For IE10 the "internet explorer maintenance" in GPMC doesn't work anymore and you need to use GPP So either Server 2008 R2 and above. I'm not even sure if the GPP work around thing will work as thats for XP clients.
