Using a lowtech approach of a custom overide.ini, mozilla.cfg and all.js rolled out by a batch file after doing a silent install of the normal Firefox installer... Seems to do the job - locked prefs etc + proxy settings for all users.

Frontmotion work's really well. It's very easy to setup

I'm about to start looking at this, but can you tell me is it easy to stop it being the default browser?

I've been using front motion firefox on some primary schools for more than a year now and i can say that it works really well.

I am pretyt sure there is a setting for the the default browser check inside the mozilla.adm file which is being used to set the settings on your gpo.

if you cannot you the adm files, combination of normal firefox, overide.ini, mozilla.cfg and all.js works as well as mentioned already...

I've tried following this... http://www.edugeek.net/wiki/index.php/Locking_Down_Firefox, and the wizard has exported a load of files to a folder but what do i do with them?

I think you just need to copy those files into "c:\Program files\Mozilla Firefox\extentions\".

I have a quick question about user profiles - I've got to the "Remove menu items" stage, but firefox is not picking up the edited userChrome.css.

The file is in the %appdata%\mozilla directory, but the changes I made are not showing.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
