Hi All

Been having a complete nightmare with regard to the latest SIMS.net upgrade. To cut a very long story short the new version of SOLUS3 doesn't support SQL Clusters in the slightest, the previous version wasn't too bad. So I went to install the latest update via SOLUS2 as directed by Capita support on Friday. Went to do that this morning and it would appear that the NOVASATELLITTE.exe files are missing off the Capita server and I get a 404 Not Found error while trying to download the update.

So I gave up with SOLUS and went and downloaded the ISO. I upgraded one of our SIMS Databases and did the workstations and it was fine. However after doing our second SIMS database as soon as you try and logon it errors with:

Fault Code: 8489-8079-6000

Item has already been added. Key in dictionary: 'V' Key being added: 'V' : System.ArgumentException

You then just get thrown out. I'm assuming that a previous patch has added something that the upgrade is now also trying to do?!

Anyone else seen this error? Looks like an urgent call to Capita as soon as they open tomorrow.

I did try restoring the backup and re-running the upgrade and got the same result.

Cheers

Tom

Phoned the helpdesk, got a patch immediately which has fixed it :-)

Great. What was the issue? What's the patch number?

If it's not listed on SupportNet useful to have here.

He didn't say what the issue was but immediately had the patch to fix it

Patch 18115

I did have a look on SupportNet for the error message I was getting but couldn't see it listed. I did see similar ones on there.

That patch is listed on my SOLUS 2 as a 'recommended' when i asked for clarification i was told not to apply unless needed. I guess it's wide enough an issue to push out on spec.

I actually have a copy of the KB article but it's in my email, and there was no number attached, so it probably isn't published yet. The fault code was different mind.

Sorry i missed it, haven't memorised all the error messages and patches for Spring yet!
