LiamH Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 That's pretty cool. Surprised they didn't put the TARDIS down as -374 years or something, since it can arrive before it set off
SteveT Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 It's wrong though ...... the Tardis could actually get there before it set off!
sparkeh Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Heh, I like the way a whale appears next to the Heart of Gold
PICNIC Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Heh, I like the way a whale appears next to the Heart of Gold But where is the bowl of petunias?
6Foot2 Posted May 17, 2013 Author Posted May 17, 2013 It's wrong though ...... the Tardis could actually get there before it set off! But time still passes for those in The Tardis. If The Doctor's watch says 15:00:00 at take off it could say something like 15:00:03.
aerospacemango Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 That's all well and good....BUT.... What about Red Dwarf?
featured_spectre Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 I object...millenium falcon can only go half past the speed of light....Starship enterprise at various warp speeds... Warp 1 is one times the speed of light. Warp 2 is ten times the speed of light. Warp 5 is 214 times the speed of light. Warp 8 is 1,000 times the speed of light. Warp 9 is 1,516 times the speed of light. Warp 9.6 is 1,909 times the speed of light. Warp 9.9 is 3,053 times the speed of light. Warp 9.99 is 7,912 times the speed of light. Warp 9.9999 is 199,516 times the speed of light. It will reach the centre of the milky way in a few months, andromeda galaxy in a few years

synaesthesia Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Red Dwarf with it's hydrogen based fuel system means it can run forever. Which is just as well, as it takes forever to get anywhere
featured_spectre Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Well that really shoots a hole in the plot of voyager. Voyager rarely travelled beyond warp 6
6Foot2 Posted May 17, 2013 Author Posted May 17, 2013 Liberator from Blake's 7? http://www.liveforfilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/blakes-7-liberator.jpg
aerospacemango Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Red Dwarf with it's hydrogen based fuel system means it can run forever. Which is just as well, as it takes forever to get anywhere Well, they WERE 3 Million years from earth!
ICTDirect_Dave Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 http://www.liveforfilms.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/blakes-7-liberator.jpg Ahh She's beautiful! I still love Blake's 7! Got them all on video still (not even got a video player anymore but meh). And the liberator was fast! A few minutes at standard by twelve and they had pretty much crossed to the very edge of the galaxy. No mention of Babylon 5 Hyperspace either. We're talking several days maybe a week or two to cross the galaxy I think.
wesleyw Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Thought the max speed of Star Fleet craft was somewhere around 9.96 warp speed?
