CAM Posted January 25, 2015 Author Posted January 25, 2015 Had a word with two of the new product managers on the BETT stand and recreated the bug on the Autumn release. The Spring release still jumps but the delayed click registration is fixed and being included in regression testing! 3
CAM Posted May 18, 2015 Author Posted May 18, 2015 (edited) Spring update applied, moment of truth, has the fix made it through to production? The interface still jumps about like a mad jackrabbit but the delayed click registration is gone! Also it's now jumping less (changing column order doesn't trigger it) and dialog boxes open before the interface jumps. Edited May 18, 2015 by CAM
CAM Posted November 25, 2015 Author Posted November 25, 2015 Guess what bug is back! I've just noticed the interface jump and delayed click occur on SIMS 7.164.
sparkeh Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Guess what bug is back! I've just noticed the interface jump and delayed click occur on SIMS 7.164. Oh yeah! But it seems slightly different for me to the video I posted earlier in the thread. Now when looking at marksheet templates the interface only jumps once. Then doesn't do it again!? 1
CAM Posted November 25, 2015 Author Posted November 25, 2015 I've been able to recreate the jump twice without changing screen.
vikpaw Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Now you're just looking for trouble. Is there a pop-up asking 'How high?' ?
kennysarmy Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Don't you know? People love that feature! Probably can't be re-created!
SimonCygnetIT Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 It's present in 7.166 as well.. Just tried it on my test setup, on a template, click on a column then click on the open button next to marksheets and it wants to then go and delete the marksheet. At least it prompted saying it wants to delete the marksheet so I could say no 1

I'm on 1920x1080. 1
vikpaw Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Good point, resolution always used to be a problem with many things, because it was hard coded to only work with 1024*768, and on some screens the buttons would overlap or be hidden. This is going back 10 years, so you'd think it wouldn't be an issue now.
CAM Posted November 26, 2015 Author Posted November 26, 2015 1920x1080 here. Oddly enough you can break the dialog boxes in SIMS by upping the DPI from 100% (which for some reason is the default on the network so I have to change it each time I use a machine for the first time. Grrr!)
tben2505 Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 It's not resolution exactly, but the window size. The jump doesn't occur for me in maximised window but reducing it by half, it does. I'm on 1920*1080
bobsmith Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 I managed to make it jump once so far, again as @tben2505 has shown, only if SIMS isn't maximised.
CAM Posted November 26, 2015 Author Posted November 26, 2015 You need to have the panel only partially on-screen when you click one of it's buttons. I can recreate it maximized.
