dan400007 Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 Hi, We've just got Adobe Creative Suite Standard Edition and have come across the following problem. When using Acrobat 8 Professional I create a new blank PDF go to add a background or watermark and it crashes. I've discovered the problem to be runplugin.exe from NetSupport School. If I end runplugin.exe Acrobat works without a problem. Problem is, without runplugin.exe running we lose the internet and application filtering. Has anyone come across this problem? Has anyone found a fix? Thanks, Dan.
Ric_ Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 I know it's not much help but have you spoken to NetSupport? They are generally quite helpful.
john Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 Is that on the latest version of NSS? I know they launched a new version a couple of months ago.
FN-GM Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 I think there are a few updates been released as well
rdhawkins Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 Dan, Does it only crash when a Tutor is connected or does it crash all the time? What version of NSS are you running by the way, as mentioned we had a major new release a few months back and a couple of updates since then (although no changes to runplugin.exe itself). Its not something of come across before, if you contact our support guys they will ask you to gather some information so that we can analyze the crash. Rob
dan400007 Posted August 6, 2007 Author Posted August 6, 2007 Hi, The problem occurs both when connected to Tutor and when not connected. I'm not sure if I can gain any support from NetSupport as we've got the software as part of a Viglen Classlink package. Rebranded as Remote Learning V7.01. We no longer have a support contract with Viglen as we're fed up of their poor support. Dan.
rdhawkins Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 Dan, Our support guys will still try and help you, if not mention I sent you. Usually though we would direct people back to Viglen if only to keep them in the loop. Rob
