ozydave Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Hello All Feel uncomfortable posting a message like this on these forums but I have to try just in case you can help (moderators if you have to remove this post I do understand) This message is very personal and close to my heart and hope you do not mind it being sent to you. A little school pal of my six year old son, was diagnosed with brain cancer, just before Christmas, with a poor prognosis. The dreadful news came almost a year to the day when My son lost his dear Nan (my mum) to the same disease. The family have recently been offered a good chance of cure but it has come at a cost. Alex needs to fly to Boston within the next two weeks at a cost of £225,000. This is a very great task raising so much money in so little time but I would really like to pass on his appeal and hope that my friends and family may be able to pass on this message and help raise the much needed funds. Please visit his appeal site to read more about this remarkable little chap - http://www.alexandersfund.net/ http://www.justgiving.com/treatmentforalex I know cancer touches us all and you may know of other sources of help that would benefit this cause. Thank you so very much.
ozydave Posted April 19, 2013 Author Posted April 19, 2013 Witch and Jax Outstanding. Thank you so much
Valyyn Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 I'd definitely recommend giving the local Lions club a call and seeing if they can help - if you let me know what town (guessing Aylsebury from your profile?), I can get you some contact info. This is pretty much exactly the sort of thing we try to help with 1
Miscbrah Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 I'll get a donation in after payday I promise. I send my very best wishes to Alex and family. 1

ozydave Posted April 23, 2013 Author Posted April 23, 2013 This has just been a massive effort. This friday is D-Day i'm on the edge of my seat. Couple of nights ago a local bloke spent the night up a tree, went to see him about 9pm. It was sooo cold From a man up a tree to packing bags at the supermarket
Modey Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Will cross post this to another forum I visit, it might get a few more donations. Looks like the total is very close though, which is great! 1
