Saving back to school shares from iPad

Is this possible?

 

I can open files fine and then edit them in Smart Office or whatever App I like but is there a way of saving my changes back to the school server?

Search on this forum for iPad + Webdav. I've posted some notes how to go about it.

 

The only problem with Apple products (I'm finding) are that printer settings and Webdav settings for example are specific to the app you're running. The Windows model is considerably easier, bearing in mind you configure printer settings once, then all apps look at the printer settings. It just seems a backwards way of working in my opinion.
