changing folder permissions on the computer itself?

can you remember what you did at the time? dont really fancy a major network overhaul for the sake of photoshop.

sorry to dig up an old thread but Im having this issue and changing the folder permissions hasnt done anything to resolve the problem for me. what process did you guys use to get past this?

check your reports for the user and see what is being blocked

What are the staff using in your schools to log pupils levels and achievements? We are currently using connecting steps from a company called bsquared but it is extremely poor. Any recommendations?

The appPool/hap user hade stumped.

appreciate the help but this is getting out of hand. just running into error after error. was so easy to setup on server 03 as well. server 08 and this new IIS, I just dont have a clue. I officially give up.

thanks nick the page looks right now but there is a red cross next to app_data write access and I cant click any other the other tabs. I added everyone to the permissions and gave full control just to see if I could get it working. This works but page is mess no images showing. All the setup options on one page. Would love up get this working again or I'm gonna have to go look into rm portico which isn't as good and expensive.

ive tried changing the command code with the right folder address as suggested in the sticky instead of icacls C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Hap /grant "IIS AppPool\HAP":(RX) I type icacls D:\RMNetwork\RMManage\Web Components\Hap /grant "IIS AppPool\HAP":(RX) but I get an error saying invalid parameter components\hap help!

ok ive got it working but when I browse to the setup page its not formatted properly? page is a mess. what am I missing?

are the install instructions for a rm cc4 server different to the ones Ive watched on YouTube?

no i was under the impression hap used a different port. I cant remember which ports I requested to be forwarded for hap now but im sure it wasnt 80

I have a ubunut server running the school website. I had port 80 forwarded to that and all working fine. However Ive since come to install hap on the new curriculum server and have run into problems getting it working. I had folders.schoolname.sch.uk forwarded to the curriculum server but im wondering if since I set up my ubuntu server that this is no longer working. I followed the instructions to intall but even when running local host I just get page not found. This is probably a serperate problem as it should work as localhost. Is it possible to have a seperate website server and still have hap working on the curriculum server? and why am I getting page not found on local host? thanks?

And then the URL for WebDAV would be the same as for hap? Sorry if I sound a bit clueless

not currently using the booking system or the helpdesk. How do I set it up without having to mess with IIS?

the check in system sounds great. we have pools of laptops and ipads so would be great if staff could book them. Ive tried to make use of the current booking system but I dont get it tbh so the documentation on how to use that will be useful too. I know youve already said its not possible but better Ipad integration would be amazing. I really only want to use HAP for remote access and not have to go down the route of using a poorer second system.

can they run side by side? I dont want to risk messing up my IIS configuration if its not possible to do it anyway.
