PAYG SIM - Does anyone offer this.....?

What I am after (if such a thing exists) is a PAYG SIM that will allow me x amount of mins + (let's say) 500MB data. But I don't want to pay monthly. I want to have this so that if I run down either call time or data I simply top-up as and when required. This is for the Chinese phone I got which will be used for travelling and TBH, I'm mainly after the data. I've had Tesco recommended to me, but I really don't want to pay £7.50 each month (I know,I know!) when I'm not going to be eating through that much call time or data.

Can anyone recommend anything?

TBH even with a network setup like giffgaff you pay £5 for a data bundle and I think tesco is similar so £7.50 p/m is good, if you get it on a 1 month contract could you stop and start it as needed possibly?

I use t mobile. I just buy call credit when I need it and I use a code 6monthweb which gets me 6 months of internet for £20. (1Gb limit)

 

I use my Phone mainly for email anyhow.

Sounds interesting. Is that a 1GB limit total for the 6 month period? If so it may be a little too low.

Hmmm been ages since I looked, a guy on a forum said the limit is infact 3GB a month! Sounds too good to me.. I have never hit a limit on my phone.

 

EDIT: The tmobile forums state that there is a 1GB per month limit. (Sounds good, I'll use my phone more now!)

 

Double EDIT: YOU DON'T WANT IT. The limit (now it's EE) is 40MB a day.

Ovivo Mobile might be a good option (100 mins, 100 texts and 400MB data for free every month!). More info in the first link...

my m8 has all you can eat data on PAYG 3Mobile for £5 top up a month.

I know that with O2 PAYG, with their £10 for unlimited text & £15 for text & web, the freebies only last a month but you don't need to top up every month - if you let it lapse it just reverts to using credit, and then next time you top up it reactivates the free guff. Don't know if this applies to other networks as well but may well do.
