Changing the IP address of the OD Server

Hi Ladies and Gents,

 

I'm going to have to change the IP address of our OD server (to go with some updates to our network) this coming week.

 

Is there anything I need to know?

 

I'm planning on changing DNS, then running changeip, then rebooting.

Should be OK, just check DNS afterwards with "sudo changip -checkhostname" to make sure everything is fine.

Cheers Tom, the DNS was fine, but for some reason the binding to the od on the clients needs redoing. Is this normal?

It can depend on how your clients were connected to OD. Some clients I have seen will connect to the IP address but if you put in the fqdn as the OD it will not be an issue again if you were to change IP.
