mattx Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Has anyone set this up on their network ? pwm - Open Source Password Self Service for LDAP directories - Google Project Hosting As usual with these things the documentation is a pile of shite and does not really over a proper starting guide, just a set of settings which are really no help at all. I need to know if I need to change the Schema settings for AD and setup the users stated. I don't want to through any un-necessary processes.
pete Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 The Admin guide PDF has this about the schema: https://docs.google.com/document/pub?id=1aJFQJzYAa38T9ITBiywgii3SstIaPqH66FsX-Hjln7c#h.t9r87o-9v4o6 PWM has support for standard change password functionality against active directory. Forgotten Password support also functions correctly with PWM. Because many AD sites find extending the AD schema to be impractical, you may consider using the PwmDB to store forgotten password responses. This allows PWM to support forgotten password functionality with AD without extending the schema. But I haven't played with it.
mattx Posted February 15, 2013 Author Posted February 15, 2013 I have that already - printed out and in front of me. But as usual when setting up the LDAP settings it refuses to accept them........
