Lapbank do one where you put 2 per shelf. I think it was about £700 for one that will take 16 netbooks. Use their own ac adaptors.

Which one did you find? We will be buying one soon!

Don't you worry matey. It's just a pipe dream at the moment, you'd be the first i'd ask.

Probably wont be serious about it until next year.

Oh well, you got to plug yourself anyway! ;)

Hi

We are looking at getting a mobile trolley that can hold 30 netbooks and that can also charge the netbooks. Has anyone found any good ones yet?

lap cabby do trolleys that hold 30 I have got the 20 version, charging system is great we got one from rm that has just 4 4way power adapters in it and no charge system it trips the power every time its plugged in, now the bad points front and back doors open with same key at same time so back door gets left open all the time also the pull out shelfs only come out halfway and its hard to get the net books out also the cable management is not very good it wires keep falling down the back so net books don't get charged! but they look nice lol

I think if i was gonna buy again, i might look elsewhere then lap caddy. The charging system is great, but just hate the rest of it! lol

We ordered a 30 Monarch LapCabby and it has been a complete nightmare! It's far too heavy for a start. The wheels are too small, in fact one of the wheels collapsed on ours and was completely unusable. It was tripping the power constantly and has just proven to be a very sore topic, in terms of the burden of its responsibility. The original plan was to get teachers fetching it themselves but it is far too heavy for most of them to manage.

It also veers towards the wall when trying to push it through the corridors.

I didn't have a very good experience dealing with their technical team either, which consisted of 1 person.

Let's put it this way, our teaching staff have lost complete confidence in the whole idea of a Mobile IT Suite.

Can I just clarify that the Lapcabbies people have had problems with look like the ones in the links I posted? ie big chunky plastic handles, not thin metal handles? They changed the range a while ago.
