Junior ICT Technician SCP 4 - (£12,145 p.a.)

 

52 weeks per year / 37 hours per week

 

Starting September 2010

 

We are seeking to appoint a Junior IT Technician to work in our busy school environment. The successful candidate will be flexible, show initiative in their work and be able to work closely with the other technicians and staff to maintain our workstations and systems. The post holder will require an understanding of installing and configuring Microsoft Windows XP Pro Workstation, Microsoft Office Applications and an understanding of Microsoft Server 2003 R2 - i.e. AD, WDS, good ICT skills and knowledge of hardware and network configuration. Good communication skills at all levels are essential as the post-holder will be in the front line of troubleshooting.

This job looks like an excellent place to start a career for a new person out of A-level who can't go to university - owch they didn't get through clearing. Maybe a Junior school technician who wants to go full time.

 

Maybe a university leaver in there first I.T. job.

This Academy will operating on two sites - of The Central Technology College and Grantham Church High School - until the proposed new buildings are completed. If/when the new build is completed the existing buildings will be sold or demolished.

If the position is in charge of the networks at both sites it could prove a very interesting environment to work in. However, the advert does mention 'site' - singular.
