LeMarchand Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Got a Hitachi cp-a222wn that turns on, fitfully tries to start the fan and then claims it's too hot. Anyone know of a cure (preferably one that doesn't involve the "big" remote, which has gone walkies). Have swapped bulb + cleaned filters.
Oaktech Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 It's a pretty well documented fault with that era of Hitachi. I had 5 or 6 get repaired onsite under warranty because of it. Any chance it's still under warranty? 1

LeMarchand Posted October 13, 2015 Author Posted October 13, 2015 It must have been a very common fault - they just accepted the serial... Thanks for that.

Great - I've found their support/warranty service to be good. After I'd replied last night, I had a recollection that my supplier had registered the warranty for me, so when I had a fault it was just a case of submitting the serial number. Maybe your office are being slow because they're puzzled that there is no record for them to find
