VeryPC Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Hi Edugeeks. It's been a long arduous road, but we got there. I've been preserving my powers by not shaving and the brand new VeryPC website is finally done: I can confirm that the tin full of website bits has now been delivered to the internet and the website is now live: https://very-pc.co.uk/ On another note, we are exhibiting at Edugeek EDIT2013 tomorrow (Thursday 30th May 2013), so drop by the stand and view this badboy on some shiny new VeryPC kit. Look forward to seeing you: EduGeek.net - EduGeek EDIT 2013 Attendees Information 3
VeryPC Posted May 29, 2013 Author Posted May 29, 2013 And for all you lovers of facial hair out there, here's one with the lights on after I made it back to somewhere with electricity (Bamber Bridge). Hope to see you in the morning! 1
speckytecky Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Nice looking site - well done team veryPC. Only thought I have looking at the site is a guide price indicator against each product would be useful. Love the fact you include the 5 year warranty by the way. 1
jamesfed Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Very nice site Only one thing- https://www.very-pc.co.uk/products/accessory/monitors/ under Touchscreen you mention Windows 8 Metro - Microsoft have dropped Metro and renamed it Modern UI. 1
jdoldridge Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Nice site, easy to navigate around. Only issue I have found is there are broken image links on the gallery section of this page https://www.very-pc.co.uk/products/desktop/flex/ Great work guys! 1
Rawns Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 I've not looked at the site yet, but I just have to offer you Kudos for such an epic beard! It's a beard I can only dream of growing.... 1

We are working on the next phase which is an ecommerce shop, which will answer that before too long. Al

Ah yes. Good point thanks. Though who knows what anything will be called in a couple of months after windows "blue"/"8.1"/whatever gets released. Appreciate the eagle eyed checking. Al
VeryPC Posted May 30, 2013 Author Posted May 30, 2013 No mention of your favourite partner No mention of any partners actually. You can maintain favourite status by bribing us with more Krispy Kreme donuts if you want. Al

Only issue I have found is there are broken image links on the gallery section of this page https://www.very-pc.co.uk/products/desktop/flex/ Great work guys! Ooh thanks. Our devs will look into that ASAP. Glad you liked the site - more content and functionally is in the pipeline, so keep coming back for updates. Al
VeryPC Posted May 30, 2013 Author Posted May 30, 2013 (edited) I've not looked at the site yet, but I just have to offer you Kudos for such an epic beard! It's a beard I can only dream of growing.... I dreamed of growing it and when I woke up, there it was! I'd been asleep for 3 months. Glad to say I've trimmed the itchy devil down for my appearance at Edugeek EDIT2013 today - there will be video evidence of this later. Al Edited May 30, 2013 by VeryPC
VeryPC Posted May 30, 2013 Author Posted May 30, 2013 On that same page, part of it is not rendered correctly too: Totally my fault that one. I had the nerve to go into the HTML editor in our CMS, and obviously I've been found out! Cheers for the spot. Al
VeryPC Posted May 30, 2013 Author Posted May 30, 2013 A quick hello and goodbye from EduGeek EDIT20013 (okay - I just want to prove that I do know hw to use a set of clippers - I AM NOT A WOOKIE!) Forgive me if the vid isn't live yet, I have to dash off to the evening meal with everyone in the pub soon so I'm submitting this post whilst it's still processing - check again soon if so. Al
VeryPC Posted June 3, 2013 Author Posted June 3, 2013 We had a great day at EDIT2013 and repaired to the pub for a nice dinner and drink (Thanks to Smoothwall for the grub and being main sponsor of the event). Phil from Smoothwall amazed us with some really impressive magic tricks (and I'm not just being nice - this was some pro trickery, believe me), then kindly shoved his great big hand into my green chassis and drew the winner of the Terra tablet prize we'd been collecting entrants for all day. As you can probably guess, the VeryPC camera was on hand to capture the moment: The lucky winner will be informed by PM and their prize will be winging it's way shortly. Thanks all for a great day at EDIT2013! Al
X-13 Posted June 3, 2013 Posted June 3, 2013 shoved his great big hand into my green chassis Hey, I don't care what you do in the privacy of your own house... but this is a respectable family establishment.

Edu-IT Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 New website doesn't show phone number properly on iPhone. The mobile version. 1
VeryPC Posted June 10, 2013 Author Posted June 10, 2013 New website doesn't show phone number properly on iPhone. The mobile version. Yeah we've noticed this - some foible of the iOS version of Safari is creating this issue. Our webdevs are looking into it. Thanks for the heads up. Al
