Hello, this is my first post and it may seem a bit simple to some but I have just about managed to get my head around SCCM recently so I'm a little fried. After having a base image setup for Windows 7, Office 2010 and all of our curriculum software I managed to role it out to our new systems without a hitch. There were a few teething problems with the initial GPO setup but in the end I got there. This was my first time working properly with them and I was left unsupervised. Anyway, after a week or so I began to receive complaints from staff that they could no longer put clip art into their office documents. Upon looking Office 2010 was installed without any of the tools etc. No I was told that SCCM would make my life easier around the school. The management of 150+ systems was a little time consuming but SCCM has created some slack on my work load. I was wondering if any bright people out there could offer up a solution to install just the clip organizer parts of Office 2010 (maybe tools etc too) without having to venture to each individual machine and run the changes from the disc. It will be greatly appreciated and hopefully one day I will be able to offer some words of wisdom to others.

Hi All, I'm currently looking to create a batch file that will roll the system back to a chosen point, and will delete any changes a user had made (creating folder and files mostly). I have seen something like this before in hire laptops that resets them after the lease period, but i cant seem to find anything! I have thought about just deleting the user account. bus some of the software we run licensed per user.. as you can imagine this causes a few problems! note: the current operating system is Windows 7 Enterprise. The Laptops are not joined to the schools network and are stand alone. so have local user accounts etc. Thanks!

We would like a virtual cd/dvd rom drive on our shiney new Windows 7 Enterprise machines. I have created an installer which works with WPKG to deploy the software, however it fails due to the driver install prompting for unsafe drivers. On Windows 7 pro I know you can disable this prompt, but I haven't been able to get this to work on Enterprise. Do any of you know of a way of doing this, or an alternate package that will install silently? Cheers Pete.

Copied this from my post on technet, but not getting any reply from MS, so I figured I would bounce this issue across this community which has been extremely helpful in the past. - - 1508 0 2 0 0 0x8000000000000000 3302 Application ABK-A23-BW87.acsd.local - The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. Windows 7 Enterprise - Profile "Corruption" Issue We do not believe this is a network or DFS/Server issue, as this happens even to profiles that are on the local machine (ie local administrator account gets bugged too) Background: We are a full Windows Shop with Server 2012 and 2008 R2 Domain / Virtual Servers (VMWare). DFS namespace for Folder Redirection (via GPO) of "My Documents" (Not AppData/Profile Info), Shared Drives. We use Endpoint Protection and do all of our Imaging via SCCM 2012, and are a full Windows 7 Enterprise desktop shop. Problem: Over the past 4 months this problem has gone from once in a while to about 30-40 calls a day inconveniencing our users. It is best explained on these forums, of which I have copied and pasted to save my fingers: What causes corrupt profiles? - AnandTech Forums "One of the problems we have at my work is when a user logs on they get a red x on the network icon, but it isn't a network issue. When this happens the computer is almost unusable. You cant use things like windows explorer, or internet explorer. We know how to fix the issue, which is deleting the usrclass.dat file in the users profile. It has been suggested that SCCM could be causing the issue but i don't know. Has anybody else ran into this issue on a Windows 7 enterprise environment? I've tried googling the issue but some of the stuff is way over my head, and I dont know much about SCCM and if that is causing the issue." We can resolve the issue by deleting the users profile, OR by deleting the UsrClass.dat file and letting it rebuild each login, however, we prefer to get to the root cause of the problem. Thanks for reading and I look forward to your input. Note: We noticed yesterday that there seems to be two \\ in the event log, not sure if that's just how Microsoft drops it in the event log or if that could point to the source of the problem.
