Hi, I was wondering if anyone could advise on the following scenario: I have a server running Windows Server 2008 R2 and staff need remote access to it. I have used products that you log into a local server and displays the users files, the files that need to be edited have to be saved to the local machine then uploaded. The data being accessed needs to be kept secure and not taken off the local server has anyone created a solution using webdav ? Thanks.

Hiya Up until a couple of months ago we were running IE6 on all our PCs but an update or updates to moodle developed problems with editing courses. with this in mind we updated to IE8 (we bypassed IE7 as in general it seemed much slower than 8 and had previously decided to give it a miss). We then developed the problem of accessing WebDAV, i quickly found the solution either on here or Moodle User Groups to set up a web location, which worked apart from the folder view was all numbers. I didnt realise at the time how many teachers used the webdav method to upload multiple files, and they really dont like the numbers and having to reference the number of the course to the folder they upload too. I can understand their frustrations and wonder if anyone has found a solution/ reason/ cause for this and if it can be changed. Thanks in advance DaveT

Hello! I am looking for some guidance on the WebDav Navigator app for iPads. IIS is set up on a server running Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard and the version of IIS is 6.1. The issue I am having is that I cannot browse the server from the iPad. I have checked and double checked all the IIS settings and from what I can see it is set up correctly. I can access the site through a web page when logging on to it from the server and using the Active Directory credentials set up specifically for the WebDav app. I can also do the same from one of the other servers using the same method, however, when I try to access it from an iPad (or any device not on the domain) using the same details, I get a 403 error, which I am aware points to credentials or permissions but as far as I can tell, everything is as it should be. I really hope someone will be able to help with this or have had this issue before and been able to resolve it. Thanks Lewis

Hello everyone I have had a google about but cant find any info on this. I was wondering if it is possible to Supervise iPads over the WiFi with Apple configurator (1.5). We currently have 3 trolleys full and they have to be connected via usb Another question i have is, do any of you know if it is possible to put apps in folders via apple configurator. The only way i can see to do it is to backup an iPad and then push that backup out to the others. Just one more quick thing, have any of you seen StormFront. Its quite expensive but sounds really good! If you haven't it is an app for the iPads and a program for the Mac server that connects to Active directory on a windows domain. It uses WEBDAV to connect to the users shares (Home, public. etc). I haven't seen it in action yet, but at the moment we are using File browser to connect to a single WEBDAV share in public. Just looking for a more user friendly way. Any input would be great. Thanks for you time Mat
