I am having an issue with a projector whereby it will turn on for around 3 seconds then it shuts off, it doesnt do the cooling cycle, it just turns off and the warning light comes on. My initial thought was thermal reset but this hasn't been tripped. my only other ideas are A problem with the PSU A problem with the lamp drive unit A problem with the circuit traces or connections i have tried 3 brand new bulbs also so this isn't the issue. Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Hi guys, i am in the rpocess of starting to service a load of these projectors but the one i have in storage is only displaying a white image, no menu shows when the button is pressed and it is responding to the remote as it turns off but there is nothing but white shown. Does anyone have any ideas or help

I've been doing some searching and have not been fruitful in my journey across the internet. But a lot of my searching has ended on this website, so I made an account, nice to meet you. Fellow nerd... I have a Sanyo XE-40 Projector, after turning it on, the power light goes green for a few seconds, then the warning light goes red and nothing more after that. I've checked the thermal switch and the bulb, they are fine. Is it trashed? Thanx y'all

Hi I bought a new bulb for my Sanyo plc-xe40 lcd projector. It turned on ok, and when connected to my laptop I have had the projected image come up fine for a few moments, but within ten minutes the projected image had disappeared and the fan sound seemed to go in and out. I tried turning it on and off with the remote and muting/un-muting the machine. No luck. I pulled the power chord out and plugged back in. I pressed the 'reset' button a few times. The projected image came back for a second then vanished again. Now the projector turns on, and power light is on, but the fan sound goes in and out and no projected image is displayed. I've done some research and it sounds like this means the thermal trip may be bust? Or alternatively maybe i need to 'reset the lamp hours' as the 'replace bulb' light is still on (never went away!) Anyone know how to do either of these things? Or have any idea if i'm right in thinking this is what is wrong? Thanks!!

Hi, I bought a Sanyo PLC-XE20 projector last year, I fitted a new bulb and reset the counter lamp counter, it has had 200 hours mas use since. When I now turn it on it goes to the blue start up screen and a 30 second countdown begins. At this point the only button I can press to get the picture up is the on/off button, I press this once and the computer/dvd/playstation video comes up and the counter disappears, so I can see everything going on like open programmes and mouse movement. But when the 3- seconds are up it just shuts down and the fan goes into overdrive really loud. The red power light flashes for a minute then it goes into standby mode. I have cleared it all out and rid it of dust, no warning or replace lamp light is on so im really stuck at an end here, I have the user manual so thats also been no help. Has anyone got a quick fix I can undertake or know what the problem is at all. All help is greatly appreciated.
