  1. Hi everyone We have been having problems with InTouch queueing messages - so far I have restarted the SIMS services manager, which didn't work. Then I rebooted the SIMS server and started the services manager again only to find it won't load any of the services. When I go to manage packages in home, it says "Could not contact the SIMS Cloud Service. Please check the SIMS Services Manager logs." We haven't changed anything server wise or changed proxy addresses etc so I am a little stumped. Not really sure what the logs mean either: 2025-11-24 00:00:00 INFO [154] - Requested package.json details from URI- https://live-ssm-blb.sims.co.uk/api/v3/SSMPackageServer/GetPackagesList/packages?blobName=packages 2025-11-24 00:00:00 INFO [154] - Requesting bearer token from STS at: https://sts.sims.co.uk/connect/token 2025-11-24 00:00:00 ERROR [78] - Error in the RequestToken method System.Net.Http.HttpRequestException: An error occurred while sending the request. ---> System.Net.WebException: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send. ---> System.IO.IOException: Authentication failed because the remote party has closed the transport stream. at System.Net.TlsStream.EndWrite(IAsyncResult asyncResult) at System.Net.ConnectStream.WriteHeadersCallback(IAsyncResult ar) --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.EndGetRequestStream(IAsyncResult asyncResult, TransportContext& context) at System.Net.Http.HttpClientHandler.GetRequestStreamCallback(IAsyncResult ar) --- End of inner exception stack trace --- Any ideas?
  2. Yes that sorted it thankyou very much
  3. Sorry to bring this thread back but we are having the same issues as well after a server reinstall - same with Pin group option as well. Both setting for assistance and Pin group is disabled yet it still shows on PCs - how did you resolve this in the end?
  4. These seem really cool but I'm not giving money to WotC directly or indirectly
  5. Hi All We are currently looking to extend our current 40 APs on Aruba instant with an additional 40 of differing models. What I would like to know is: Did you come across any limitations of Aruba Instant in terms of AP limit, mixing of models, speed, cluster size etc. Any info related would be great as we'd rather not have to pay for the Aruba cloud licensing. Thanks
  6. Hi All Currently can't install office on any of our machines - very recent change in the last week. Just wondering if any of you have had issues installing office recently - SCCM, manually, batch - all seem to bomb out. 94 people currently with the same issue on this forum post: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/error-code-0-2031-17000-when-installing-office-365/87a673a0-ec80-4b61-b900-2ab46f964961 We are on LTSC 1809 Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  7. Hi All Having an issue with SP that I'm racking my brain around: A teacher has added a link to a document library on a separate site. I've tested being a visitor member of both sites - doesn't work. I have also tried being Admin of both sites but that doesn't work either. I can access the library directly from the source site but if it's linked, it doesn't appear anyone can access without a direct link?
  8. Seems all ok for our staff here now - started working again last night Might as well update to 22 as it's ready to roll out......
  9. Version 19 doesn't work but 22 appears to be fine (and free). 19 just stopped working today it seems but I can't find anything on SMART about them deprecating it for the free basic 22 version.
  10. Thanks - the only other two issues with that at the moment is that the folders for the file are only created once PS is opened - we also have multiple year groups using the PCs so you would have to create hundreds of folders at logon (clones of the same directory for each student) - I'm still trying to see if there's an easier way to do this...
  11. Found out the issue was down to the way Photoshop works and the machines we are using. A certain setting that was causing the issue was History states. It's default is set to 50. The problem is that each state is the exact same size as the original file. Our example file was around 2GB so in effect you would need 100GB free disk space - not including the fact that original file size goes up whilst you are working on it. Our machines only have 4GB so they were using that up very quickly and then using up the scratch disk with anything it couldn't store in RAM. https://feedback.photoshop.com/conversations/photoshop/photoshop-2020-temp-files-filling-scratch-disk-fast-possible-memory-leak/5f5f46114b561a3d4271e4e4 You'll see from the article above that the OP had a massively spec'd machine and was having the same issue. Minimum requirements for PS is 8GB of RAM but it all depends on the file size you and using, which would determine whether you would run into this issue. You can change the states yourself (We have ours set to 5) the problem is pushing this out to 40+ machines. the settings are held in the Adobe CC prefs.psp which are held in the user profiles, and since we are running delprof we either have to get the user to add the history states setting everytime they log on or somehow automate it.... Unfortunately Adobe CC isn't a very good product from a multi user administration point of view
  12. Always try the basic things first lol
  13. Hi everyone I've got an issue where SCCM doesn't run system discovery - Doesn't run updates or any other discovery method for that matter. The adsysdis.log shows that it has last run on the 20th last month, but I haven't changed anything since then. I've tried adding our proxy settings directly into the server but this hasn't done anything Would anyone know the next steps to take? Thanks
  14. Hi We've just bought several exams laptops so I've created a custom LGP through MMC for a specific user. I would like a way to transfer these settings between PCs as it would take a long time to do this manually as well as in the future. I've searched as much as I can but cannot for the life of me find a way to tranfer these settings. The common answer seems to be to copy the two folders in %systemroot%\system32\grouppolicy however the user folder is empty, which leads me to believe these settings are being stored elsewhere. Using 2019 LTSC Any help would be appreciated
  15. One of the issues is that the students don't have access to C: by design. I've currently been trying to find a way that you can let Lightroom have access to the C drive but keep it hidden in Explorer, but no luck so far. The problem with this is that you'd have to create one for every PC you went to, which isn't so much of a problem, but I don't know what else this would effect in regards to images you're editing on other machines.
