Hello. I do not have to post here very often as someone has normally had the same thing before I get there. But I cannot find any help for a problem I am having with remote desktop through a VPN.
From within school, I can use remote desktop from my desk to control any of the computers on the network.
When I am at home, I can access the Windows 2003 servers without problem using remote desktop. But, I cannot access any of the XP workstations. When I type the IP address of the computer, it just comes up with a network error, it does not even get to the log in page.
Is there something I need to set up either on the XP computer or in group policy that tells which computers can be accessed out of school? Obviously, as it works on the servers, the VPN is functioning correctly, so perhaps they may be set up as they are servers on the domain? I have been looking at this for a few days now and have not found anything online to help other than Terminal Servers, which currently, I am not sure we need. I have set up the web component needed, but cannot find anything else.
Can anyone help me here?
Thank you.
