Unfortunately not.... However, If we get enough interest in any given area of the UK, we run satellite courses. If you form a trust or link in with a network of schools, you can quite easily gather a few local technicians and deliver something from your location (we bring all the kit) For example we are running courses for a group of schools in Shropshire and then another in Cheshire around the Feb half term. If you have a few technicians onsite (3-4) you could run also run closed solution for just your team and it would be pretty cheap using the grant. These closed courses are good value as you can tailor the courses so that you get what you really need. Again, If you let me know what kind of tech training you're interested in, I can give you some ballpark figures. Example: Basically each delegate can half the cost of up to £1000 for any course (onsite or public schedule). So if an onsite course, for up to 10 delegates, for a 3 day WS2012R2:Server Administration course costs £3500 and you had 4 technicians interested, you would be paid back £1750.00 through the grant. You get approval on the grant before the delivery so you cant really go wrong, as you know the money will be paid back after delivery. 50% of the course cost is the maximum you can claim back for any single course. There was a similar grant a while ago aimed at directors, this is the first one I've come across of technical staff. Maybe the Government are finally realising whats important I hope I've made sense! Just had an email hit my desk that runs through a new government grant that anyone who works for an organisation in IT and is based in England, can apply for. Basically you can apply for a part matched grant 50/50 for a course which has a value of up to £1000. So in relation to the "the Neos 10 days offer" this might up only costing the school, £500 You can apply for more than one grant if you are sitting a few courses and multiple technicians from the same organisation can access the grant. It’s all about upskilling the workforce in the latest technologies. As such, it would be valid on, but not limited, to courses such as: W8 WS2012R2 SCCM Exchange 2013 VMware Office 365 (Tech course) SharePoint 2013 You get the idea!!! Total turnaround from application to acceptance is 7 days max. Let me know if you want me to pop you the application link.

Alan Hutt is scheduled to deliver all the Worcester public Windows Server courses in the next 6 months as well as the courses we are running out of Cheshire and Shropshire in Feb. Steady on......if he reads this I wont ever here the end of it Take cake and smile nicely!

There are a few good companies out there you just need to ask about. Even if you decide to go alone, I'd still get a quote for both support during the migration and the full migration itself. Just a bit of a safety net, if things go wrong.

I have it running fine on IE, firefox and chrome.... Maybe try it on a few other machines at the school? Turn your computer off and back on again just kidding, firewall could be a good bet.

Have you had a look at what is being asked for on the job specs you are likely to go for? Unfortunately if you want something worthwhile 9 times out of 10 you have to invest time to achieve it.

When you say books, are these going to go along side a lab that you are creating?

You would almost definitely be better off running this as a closed solution. I know a group of trainers that deliver the HP courses and looking at that pricing, if you had just one other person interested you could have a trainer come to you. If you had 3-5 interested you would definitely save on that price. It would be worth asking around.

HP Education Services UK - Search for IT training courses enjoy they are quite pricey, so post up when you see the kind of thing your after and i will try to help you further. Lee

Have you looked at the HP official courses? to get an idea of what you need?

Its a bit of a tricky one as usually these types of courses are vendor specific. What makes and modes of SANs are you using?

From the ITIl website: The credits earned through this Credit System can then be used by candidates who are interested in achieving the ITIL Expert Level of certification, which requires candidates to meet a specific set of key requirements, which include earning a required number of credits (22) from qualifications which cover the full spectrum of ITIL Best Practice. http://www.itil-officialsite.com/Qualifications/credit-system-image.aspx Basically you get the foundation under your belt, then you train and do exams in areas that are specific to your role..... Each of those courses/exams gives you credits. When you reach a certain number of credits you move up to the next level. You basically start at the bottom an move up when you meet the correct credit level. Depending on the role you have now and the jobs you are looking to move to the Foundation is probably enough as a starting point.

This is a tough thing to answer without knowing what they already know. I have a training needs form for Excel, happy to email it to you if it will help. They basically answer the questions and it should help identify where you need to start.
