Hi, First time posting on any forum! Eek :-( Anyway, I was on a webinar yesterday when they introduced CoPilot and showed off some of it's features and explained some of the potential applications. They were AT PAINS to point out quite often that its performance is deeply reliant on what data it has access to and what information you feed it prior to giving it any tasks. From what I can see it will be a great "secretary", writing fancy emails and creating lovely presentations, even spreadsheets for you, should you wish. Used in the right way with access to the relevant and supporting data it could make you more efficient and take the pressure off you when it comes to creating content, however, you will still need to check everything and proof-read your text. You should do that anyway, if you don't want to end up in trouble! As far as security concerns go, I have many. People need to police strictly just what data this AI has access to and how deep it's reach is within any organisation. Perhaps you can use AI to police itself in that respect but I don't know enough to speculate too far. Anyway, my initial reactions are positive in terms of daily workflow i.e. for basic tasks and creative endeavours, but the rest I remain sceptical over. Much rests on the user and how the user speaks to CoPilot...so in that sense it will only be as good as the person using it. There, that's my 2 penneth!! Have a good weekend all!

Totally agree. One of the funniest men on the radio. A genuinely quick witted comedian who could riff and improvise with the very best of them. The world desperately needs fellas such as him who lighten our day and make us giggle. He will be missed.

I find this interesting. It is a constant source of discussion and I think we assume we are more digitised than we actually are. A CPD was also discussed as a conclusion to a sort of IT Skills audit at our establishment. How much of it would make an impression is anyone's guess :-) but I am certain some staff really need it whether they are aware of it or not! As yet nothing has been done though.

I do know that EU law stipulates that manufacturers must give the consumer a minimum 2-year guarantee (legal guarantee) as a protection against faulty goods, or goods that don't look or work as advertised. In some countries national law may require even longer guarantees. You could try holding out for replacement components or even compensation :-)
