  1. Hello, my name is Chris and I work for a Charging Solutions manufacturer in the UK and i'm based in Brooklyn, New York. I'm interested in the problems faced by IT Technicians, Technology Directors and anybody who is responsible for maintaining the mass of devices that are used in schools.
  2. All schools need somewhere to store and charge devices throughout the school day. Existing solutions such as trolleys and lockers don't really offer anything smart. I would like to see a charging solution that offers a bit more than somewhere to store and charge a device and have complied a list of features below that may be useful with device management within school All features below would be monitored through central administrative console and could assist with the following: · Identification of device charging status · Identification of device charging percentage · Identify how long the device has been plugged in for. · Identification and logging of devices that are plugged in via the device serial number · Locate where the device is positioned within the charging solution · Locate where the device is located within the school · Who last locked / unlocked the charging solution · Device rollout assistance · Device Bios information What features would you like to see to make device management easier?
  3. And in your opinion, in a world where budgets are not an issue, how often would you look to refresh your devices within the school?
  4. Thanks for you response. You say at the end that money is a hard thing too, how much of the allocation of funds for technology is usually placed on renewal / refresh / repair of devices within your school?
  5. I'd like to know what IT departments and Technicians believe is the hardest thing to manage when it comes to looking after lots of devices within a school or group of schools. is it making sure the devices are all plugged in and charged ready for class? Is it having to fix broken screens and keys on the devices? Is it being told theirs a problem with the devices at a time when the devices are actually needed?
