Hi All - running the CES census on SIMS for my secondary school - and after creating and calculating all details - it won't let me create & validate or save any changes as this error pops up at the bottom with a red cross: 'Figures Entered cannot exceed Year 11 Pupils on roll on last years CES return' The on roll figures are correct, as they were last year - and I can't even see where the CES cenus looks at this for just year 11. So confused! Has anyone had this issue before? Any pointers? Thanks! Jo.

Thank you so much - this seemed to work, but I am still getting this error on my census. Any ideas? They are both re-sitting their Eng and Maths GCSE - they've already done the exams! Please check: maths GCSE grade achieved is D-G / 3-1, U or NR and the student is recorded as not having a funding exemption. If the student is not undertaking the mandatory re-take of this subject, they may not be counted in funding calculations.

Hi All, I'm really struggling with this and can find/get no help from SIMS. I've just taken over as the data manager, and have not worked on the timetable before and this is our first year with A Levels and re-takes. I have 2 alevel students doing an English GCSE resit and 1 doing Maths. They are being taught separately so have added these lessons as interventions to enable them to show on their timetables. I've checked their qual and non qual hours to include these extra lessons. In prior attainment, it has them as not achieved - so I then use UK equivalent for the funding exception? And if anyone could shed some light on how I add these to the gcse course it would be hugely appreciated - I have no idea where to start! Do these re-takes need to be their core learning aims? Thanks so much!

Thanks so much for this - I thought so about Awards, but just could not see anything confirming. Am waiting to receive the qualifying and non qualifying hours from my head of 6th form - is this the same as guided learning hours, and where do I enter this? Thanks so much for your help! Jo.

Hi All, I'm receiving the same error - 2870 - for all our yr 12 students. They each have a learning aim, the dates are set to current academic year (3rd Sept 18) and each students started on or around the 5th Sept - so within the 2 week tolerance period. It is our first year of 6th form, so more than likely I'm missing something very obvious... My previous data manager set up the GCEAs then left - and they are not showing QAN or awards - but I cannot find instructions on how to do this anywhere - and SIMS are proving their usual useful selves. Does anyone know if this would be the issue, and how to fix it? Thanks so much!
