Adobe Creative Cloud - Shared Device Licencing query
Samm replied to steven_layton_sl's topic in Enterprise Software
I have noticed that the PC's don't show up until someone has signed into CC on that PC -
Yes i rebooted it yesterday, I have checked the permissions and the domain admin account is a member of Organization Management.

I have checked and added my account to the exchange admin groups. I even get this error when trying to create a mailbox with the domain admin account.

Hi, When you try and create a shared mailbox or a room mailbox in our on prem exchange 2013 you get the following error:

Active Directory operation failed on ***-DC-1.*****.org.uk. This error is not retriable. Additional information: Access is denied. Active directory response: 00000005: SecErr: DSID-03152612, problem 4003 (INSUFF_ACCESS_RIGHTS), data 0

Has anyone got any ideas, i have seen a few suggestions that i should run the exchange setup again with the /preparead flag but i'm not sure about this. This is also a hybrid exchange but 99.9% of mailboxes are located in 365 EDIT: We seem to also get errors about missing system mailboxes in event viewer Thanks Sam

We have been removing the photos app from windows 10 as part of our MDT task as we thought we wouldn't need it (Not sure why i took it out!). We now have a need for the video editor in the photos app as a replacement for movie maker Is there an easy way we can reinstall the photos app on all our machines?
-
Thanks for that too on the metadata GPO, I will enable that just in case. I found an issue with an old GPO that prevented the computer from contacting windows update for driver installs and disabling this solved the issue.
-
Our client machines are all at least 5th Gen i3s with 8gb ram and 120gb SSD. Network backbone is 1gb and servers are 2012 R2

Yeah we are using a GPO to deploy the printers and it works but can take up to 5 mins for the printers to show up. If you manually add a printer it gets stuck on searching for driver for a few mins and then it works. We are using Win 10 1903 + Win 7

Hi, We have been having issues with our printers deploying for a while now. Today i have looked into this and found the following in Event Viewer. I have checked on the print$ share and the .cab file is present. I'm a bit lost on what to look into next as printers / print servers are not my strong point. - Sam

We have found a solution to this, we have used on Impero Policy to close any windows that has the title of "(c:)" and this has resolved the issue for the moment. Not sure what else this may break but on initial testing looks good

I've sent you a DM

We are using the Office 2016 UE-V templates and they seem to work fine with Office 2019. Same goes for the Office 2016 GPOs they work fine with Office 2019

Thanks, will get ABE turned on. Did you manage to stop them being able to type c:\ ?

We are currently sorting out our GPOs ready for our Windows 10 migration. We are having some issues with the search that is build into the taskbar/start menu in 1903. It is allowing a user to type in c:\ and bypass the illegal drive GPO and they can also type in UNC paths and bypass our policy that blocks browsing UNC paths. We have tried hiding the search and then prevent right click on the task bar which prevents the students from hiding it. The issue with this is when you have the start menu open and start typing it brings the search box back up. I have also tried turning off Indexing but the search can still run c:\ and UNC paths Has anyone had any luck with completely disabling the search or preventing access to C or UNC paths? -Sam

Can't view Administrative Templates in Group Policy Manager
Samm replied to Samm's topic in Windows Server 2012
Thanks, i had that same issue with chrome earlier in the year. It took me ages to work out what was going on! I think i have solved it now, i recovered the entire Policy Definitions folder from a backup of a few days ago and it now works. It looks as if one of the admx templates had corrupted or got damaged some how. -
Hi, We had some electrical works over the weekend and had to power everything off, after we powered everything back on it seemed happy. But we have come in this morning and tried to view the settings on a GPO and get the following error: "An appropriate resource file could not be found for file \\PHS-DC-2.domain.org.uk\SysVol\domain.org.uk\Policies\PolicyDefinitions\AppHVSI.admx (error = 2): The system cannot find the file specified." We get about 20 of these errors for various missing admx files. I have check the SYSVOL and all the files it is moaning about are there. All our polices seem to be applying fine just can't edit them. I have tried recovering the Policy Definitions from a backup but we get the same error. Am a bit lost so any pointers would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Sam

Hi, Does anyone know how you can get rid of the password prompt in office 2016 when you first open it or when your password changes, i thought this may be a GPO but i can't seem to find anything? We are running ADFS 3.0 and Windows 10 Thanks Sam

The educational pro licence is exactly the same as a normal pro licence and with all the extra platform add-ons e.g android, IOS etc. I think the only difference is a watermark on the exported games.

Thanks interesting as they told me to add an environment variable called “HTTPS_proxy" and that didn't work. and then they never replied to that ticket again. Have you got any more info on the Unity_PROXYSERVER= variable? Yes they got back to us about 4 weeks after we applied and gave us 60 licences.

I have been having the same problem, after a lot of playing around with proxy auth exceptions I have managed to get the software to activate manually but when i run batch mode i still get this error. BatchMode: Unity has not been activated with a valid License. Could be a new activation or renewal... (Filename: C:/buildslave/unity/build/Editor/Platform/Windows/WinEditorMain.cpp Line: 907)DisplayProgressbar: Unity licenseUnityConnectLoginRequest: Failed to login - please check your username or password (Filename: C:\buildslave\unity\build\Editor/Src/UnityConnect/UnityConnectLoginRequest.cpp Line: 31)No sufficient permissions while processing request "https://core.cloud.unity3d.com/api/login", HTTP error code 401.Cancelling DisplayDialog: Updating license failed Failed to update license within 60 seconds. Exiting. This should not be called in batch mode. (Filename: C:\buildslave\unity\build\Editor/Platform/Windows/EditorUtility.cpp Line: 1154)Exiting without the bug reporter. Application will terminate with return code 1 Have checked and the username and password are correct but am unsure what the "No sufficient permissions" bit means, any ideas? Have contacted Unity support multiple times but they seem to be ignoring us Cheers
